Jeff Yates Awarded Presidential Citation at Users Group Conference

Jeff Yates, executive director of the Agents Council for Technology (ACT) at the Big “I,” was honored with a Presidential Citation from Mike Gray, president of the AMS Users Group, during the 33rd National Conference in Washington, D.C.

Yates was cited for his work with independent agents, companies, vendors, user groups and industry associations in promoting and facilitating the use of technology solutions and business processes within the agency system. Under Yates’s leadership, ACT has developed: recommended workflows, best practices, white papers, committees/ working groups and information and seminars to help agents take full advantage of technology opportunities. Yates began with ACT after 25 years of service in other divisions of the Big “I.”

The AMS Users Group represents more than 15,000 independent insurance agencies that use Vertafore Agency Market management systems. The group’s main objective of “influencing the future of agency automation” is accomplished through various education, member service and advocacy programs.

InVEST Creates New Student Marketing Piece

To help fill InVEST class seats with interested students, InVEST has created a new student brochure to generate interest in insurance as a class and career.

The brochure depicts many exciting aspects of a career in insurance and also addresses the financial literacy aspect of InVEST classes. The millennial generation is attracted to numerous qualities when searching for a career and the brochure links common interests such as sports and music to insurance careers.
